On the evening of July 4, 2026, at the Hien Luong–Ben Hai Special National Relic Site, the opening ceremony of Festival for Peace 2026 was held under the theme “From Memory to the Future: Quang Tri for Peace.” The program offered local residents, domestic visitors, and international guests an inspiring and emotionally engaging artistic experience.
Structured into three chapters, “The Flow of Memory,” “The Light of Peace,” and “A World in Harmony,” the performance portrayed Quang Tri’s remarkable transformation from a land once divided by war into a symbol of peace, resilience, renewal, and sustainable development.
The program featured newly arranged interpretations of beloved Vietnamese songs alongside world classics, complemented by original compositions, creative mashups, and collaborative performances. Presented in a semi immersive musical theatre format, it seamlessly blended music, drama, and stagecraft into a continuous emotional journey, guiding audiences from the memories of the past toward a shared vision of peace and hope.
